It’s a very wet day over most of the country. Here we’ve had 0.52″ (13.21mm) of rain today with 0.14″ (3.56mm) in the last hour. Current rain rate is 0.23″/hour (5.84mm/hour).
Temperature is a mild 11.1C, creeping up at 0.1C/hour. The barometer reads 994.8mb, falling very rapidly at 1.17mb/hour. Winds are averaging moderate to fresh westerly breeze with 17% of gusts in the last hour at strong breeze.

It’s dry here at the moment (06:30); but on the rainfall radar I can see a band of rain stretching through just to the west of us and I would expect that to be here shortly.
Temperatures rose after midnight and it’s now 9.5C, up 0.2C/hour. The barometer’s been falling for the last 6 hours and is now down to 1001.0mb, falling slowly at 0.36mb/hour. Winds have increased to a light west-southwesterly breeze.

Fog descended as the dawn broke this morning and we had a start reminiscent of last Thursday which was also foggy first thing. However the cloud parted mid morning and we had a pleasantly sunny afternoon with some nice cumulus mediocris scudding along to the east of us with the tops just visible over Tullig.
Temperatures rose to 10.9C at 14:33 and have fallen back a few degrees in the late afternoon to currently read 7.3C, down 0.1C in the last hour. The barometer has steadied it’s climb at 1003.2mb, up 0.23mb in the last hour. Winds are a light westerly air.
There’s a fair amount of fog around again this evening. I drove back from Cork around 19:30 and it was particularly bad around Halfway.

It’s been a reasonably cool night with minimum temperature down to 3.1C at 01:24 and rising slowly since then to the current 5.6C, up 0.4C in the last hour.
The barometer continues to rise steadily and now reads 997.0mb, rising at 0.67mb/hour. Winds are mainly calm with a wind run of 1.75 miles since midnight.
Some sunny periods today and staying dry; but with the chance of drizzle over high ground later in the day.

The day remained showery, particulalry from late morning through the afternoon, to bring the total rainfall for the day up to 0.70″ (17.78mm).
Towards nightfall the skies cleared and the temperature has fallen steadily through the evening to reach 2.0C at 22:30 and 2.8C currently. The barometer is rising slowly again and now reads 981.3mb, up 0.41mb/hour. Winds are calm.
Looking at ther adar there’s a couple of showers moving just along the coastline, probably around about Rosscarbery now. Tomorrow should start dry before further light rain or drizzle moves up from the south in the afternoon.

The rain started just aroud midnight and was heaviest around 03:30. So far we’ve had 0.52″ with 0.03″ in the last hour.
Temperatures are steady at a cool 8.1C whilst the barometer is falling slowly now. Current atmospheric pressure reading is 974.9mb falling at 0.55mb/hour. Winds are a gentle south to southwesterly breeze.
There’s still a little rain falling here, current rain rate is 0.04″/hour; but from th radar it appears that the bulk of the overnight rain has moved eastwards. However the forecast is for further bands of rain during the day with a final clearance towards evening.

The day started of with an air frost and a low of -0.8C and eventually reached a high of 7.6C at 13:59. The morning and afternoon was punctuated be some short sleet showers; though I did hear that parts of Cork had snow showers. Not much accumulated rainfall; just 0.02″ (0.51mm) in total for the day.
The barometer has been falling rapidly since mid morning and now reads 983.1mb, down 1.26mb/hour. Winds are a gentle to moderate southwesterly breeze.

It was a pleasant early spring day here with temperatures just getting into double figures at 10.2C this morning. A band of showers moved through around midday and deposited 0.04″ (1.02mm) of rain; but these cleared quickly to further sunshine.
Temperatures have fallen quite quickly this evening and are now just above freezing at 0.2C, falling 0.8C in the last hour. Atmospheric pressure started to rise again mid afternoon and the barometer now reads 993.0mb, up 0.33mb in the last hour. Winds are calm.
Tomorrow morning should start dry and sunny with cloud developing through the morning and into the afternoon. Rain is expected tomorrow evening and into Tuesday, heavy in the morning with a clearance to showers on Tuesday evening.
- Wednesday, further rain at times.
- Thursday mainly dry.
- Friday rain is likely again.

The rain cleared through just before 22:00 after depositing 0.51″ (12.95mm). The skies have cleared somewhat now and the temperature has begun to fall; current reading is 8.8C, falling at 0.7C/hour.
The barometer has steadied somewhat and now reads 990.0mb, down 0.35mb in the last hour. Winds are a light breeze having veerd northwesterly with the passing of the rain.
Tomorrow should be showery with more persistent rain towards evening. There’s a slim chance of some wintry precipitation into Monday especially over higher parts of West Cork.
