January 2007 started fairly wet with measurable rain on 13 out for the first 14 days.
The general trend over the last two years for January has been a wet first two weeks followed by a much cooler and dryer second two weeks under high pressure. January 2007 bucked this trend somewhat as it didn't turn dryer until 22nd by which time most of the months rain had fallen.

The final 5 days of January were dry and this was continued into February which was dry until the 7th giving 11 consecutive days without rainfall. However after this February started to make up for it by giving rain on all but 3 of the remaining 22 days of the month. This included 1.18" (29.97mm)  on the 19th which was our wettest February day on record and the 4th wettest day overall on record. On total this was our wettest February on record with 4.76" (120.9mm) of rain.

March is looking to continue the trend; already we've over an inch of rain and it's only the 4th of the month. Only time will tell if this is going to be a record breaking year for rain.
