September

September saw the autumn start to set in with only 2 days over 20°C and a maximum of 21.9°C. The lowest temperature during the month was a cool 2.5°C - cold enough to give a ground frost on the 17th of the month. This is quite close to the 30 year absolute minimum of 2.5°C.

Rainfall was slightly down on the mean with 3.47" (88.14mm) recorded compared to the average of 3.80" (96.52mm). However there was a lot of wet days with rain recorded on 23 days of the month and more than 0.04" (1mm) on 14 days. Fog was recorded on 2 days.
