Page 9 of 13 AugustAugust temperatures were only very slightly above the average with 19 days recording maxima over 20°C. However with a top temperature of only 23.9°C the month remained cooler than July. The month was also very dry with only 1.67" (42.42mm) of rain recorded, the second driest month of 2005; compared with an average rainfall of 3.49" (88.65mm). In all rain was recorded on 13 days compared with an average of 16 days. August 2004 was a lot wetter recording 4.97" (126.24mm) of rain. Again there were no gales during the month and fog reported on 2 days. |
