July

July was the warmest month of 2005 with a top temperature for the year of 26.8°C on the 12th of the month and a mean temperature of 16.12°C. Despite being the warmest month of the year the 11th and 12th were the only two days in 2005 to top 25°C and for the majority of the month (17 days) the temperature stayed below 20°C.

Rainfall was slightly above average at 2.99" (75.95mm); but the number of wet days was below average with rain only being recorded on 11days of the month. The vast majority of the rain came on the 23rd and 24th which had 0.95" (24.13mm) and 1.63" (41.40mm) respectively, the remaining 9 wet days had 0.10" (2.54mm) or less. 

There were no gales during the month and fog on only one day.
