Page 12 of 13 NovemberNovember started as October had left off; very wet with rainfall on 10 of the first 11 days; but the latter two thirds of the month were very dry and overall the month was a good deal drier than average with a total of 3.94" (100.08mm) compared with the mean of 4.37" (111.00mm). The 14th of the month gave the first air frost of the autumn with a low of -1.1°C, equal to the previous air frost on the 9th April. Maximum temperatures stayed in double figures for the most part with the top temperature for the month at 15.4°C compared with only 14.4°C last year. There were gales recorded on two days of the month with a top wind speed of 43mph on the 7th of the month. |
