Record November Low Pressure

The barometer finally bottomed out at 958.6mb around 16:00 – a record low pressure for the month of November. Pressure now reads 959.2mb, rising very slowly at 0.15mb/hour. This is the predicted situation for 18:00 today based on the 12:00 GFS run:

Very Windy In The West

I’ve just seen wind gusts of 103kph recorded at Belmullet in the last few minutes. Mace Head wind gusting to 89kph.

Here we still haven’t exceeded 40kph recorded at 03:28 this morning.
