I found a fabulous picture from the MODIS RapidFire Aqua satellite showing Ireland in the snow. Taken at 13:30 yesterday (2nd December 2010) it clearly shows the area of snow over West Cork.

It looks like there are two snow covered volcanic islands north west of donegal from this image!
I saw those too. Strange looking areas of cloud aren’t they. I’ve no idea what’s caused them.
