Having double checked I can confirm that yesterday, 21st December 2010, was the coldest day recorded at Tullig with a mean temperature of -3.9C.

Second lowest temperature on record here with the temperature down to -7.6C at 04:55 and currently -7.2C, down 0.6C in the last hour.

Enough already! Air temperatures remained just above freezing for most of the night; but have fallen sharply again after 05:00 and are now down to -1.1C and falling at 0.5C/hour.

It’s been a relatively mild day in this part of West Cork with mainly cloudy skies and temperatures rose to 4.9C at 13:06. The temperature has been falling since around 15:00 and dropped as low as 0.1C at 20:44; but has since risen again to 0.5C.

After falling sharply through the afternoon and fell well below zero for a while. However after 20:00 they started to climb again and have now risen to 1.3C, up 1.1C in the last hour. We don’t seem to have had much more snow through the night – there’s just a couple of cm lying outside the house. However temperatures have fallen back to well below freezing since midnight with a low of -3.7C and a current temperature of -2.6C.
