It’s been snowing steadily, and heavy at times, for the last 2 hours and has added another inch (2.5cm) of snow onto what was lying before.
The temperature has risen a bit with the arrival of the snow and it’s now 1.4C, up 0.5C in the last hour. Winds are a light to gentle northerly breeze.

Temperatures this afternoon rose to 2.2C and a slight thaw resulted. However with temperatures now at 0.7C, down 0.3C in the last hour, it’s cold enough to freeze again making road surfaces treacherously slippery.

We’ve had a relatively heavy fall of snow overnight. It’s still too dark to see the full extent of the snowfall; but in the lights from the house it looks like 2 to 3 cm of lying snow! It will be dawn soon and I’ll post up some pictures.
